Metaverse literally means a “Different Universe” which is a virtual world depicting real world. In Pakistan, people have only heard about Metaverse having a variety of assumptions since it is rarely being used for gaming or entertainment purposes in Pakistan. Through interviews, I have collected a variety of reactions from youth about Metaverse, whether it is actually happening or not, is it safe to invest in virtual property and the threat to privacy and confidentiality. The Graphical Campaign having posters will depict these reactions of youth, addressing their opinions and turning them into a graphical representation.
It’s an awareness campaign on asthma which is a disease wherein patient feels difficulty in breathing. In this modern era of biological and medical advancements, it is no longer an incurable disease. However non-awareness about its symptoms and delay in diagnosis are root causes that takes the patient towards chronic lungs disease and thus giving a rise in the death rate. The disease usually starts in childhood therefore a common people, especially parents must know about the symptoms of the disease so they can be timely taken to the right place for an early diagnosis. Being a victim of this disease since my early childhood, I have selected this topic to give awareness about the disease, its symptoms, triggers and its prevention in a more effective way through my awareness graphical campaign.
Pehchaan-e-Anwar is an initiative to pay tribute to Anwar Masood and to promote Urdu poetry. In this digital era, due to technology, people have lost their interest to Urdu poetry and books, which is an important aspect of the culture. Majority and especially youth have stopped reading books. If this trend continues, Pakistan will lose its written heritage. This project aims to promote Urdu poetry through digital art in which I have designed editorial cartoons, and caricatures.
Anwar’s poetry has the ability to touch the heart and soul and they are right on point of the current scenario in society. It is essential for today’s generation to read him. This will increase their thinking ability and will help them to increase their knowledge regarding social issues. By promoting these classics, we will be able to develop a platform for new ideas, thoughts, and perspectives, which can ultimately lead to betterment in society.
Umera Ahmed is a famous writer and her many novels are also adapted in TV dramas. In my thesis I have made digital illustration to depict my understanding of her novels through visual art. Nowadays people and especially youth don’t prefer to read books and literature. I have chosen Umera Ahmed because she’s a famous contemporize writer. I have made a series of digital illustrative paintings on her different novel that appeal me the most. My work targeted youth. My illustration are symbolic and visually represent my interpretation of that novel in a realistic digital paintings.
Climate change is one of the biggest problems of the world. The world climate is changing rapidly with melting of arctic ice, global warming, deforestation, oceans becoming warmer etc. But still most of the people are unaware of the term “climate change”. One of the major effects of climate change is the extinction of indigenous communities. Indigenous communities play a very important role in the protection of biodiversity but most of the people are unaware of their importance. I have taken the example of Kalasha community of Pakistan who are at a risk due to climate change. Through my graphical representations I have tried to portray how this community and its culture is being affected by climate change and what would be the consequences if timely measures are not taken.
As the interest in literary text is waning in favor of more passive visual digital mediums, even the more famous literatures are being left untouched by the newer generation. To tackle this issue, especially in terms of Urdu literature and Manto's writings, I am adapting a Manto short story "Vo Ladki" into the more modern and internationally consumed digital medium of webtoons. This adaptation could get the ball rolling for a recycling system that would ensure the prosperity and longevity of our literature by exposing it to a wider international audience in a format that is more appealing to them. It would also encourage the audience to read the original textual stories because readers of webtoons often read the source novels to get ahead of the adaptation and know the full story quicker.
“Sheroes” is an awareness and rehab social and print media campaign through which we want to express our strong appreciation towards burn survivors and will aware people about the prevention, first aid and rehabilitation of burn survivors because we don’t want anyone suffer and endure the lifetime physical and psychological pain caused by major burns and traumatic injuries . That’s why through this graphical campaign I’ve spent time to educate children and adults about how to avoid burns and injuries. Sheroes pays a tribute to all the burn survivors and is devoted to spread the spirit of courage among them. Sheroes is a rehabilitation and empowerment campaign designed especially for the women because females are at the higher risk of deaths due to burns than that of males.
A representation of darkness to light is an installation-based stress awareness campaign. Stress is quite frequent among people, yet most people do not know how to deal with it. Stress causes major physical and mental health problems.
As the result, the campaign’s goal is to assist individuals break out from their negative shells and engage in activities that make them happy and relaxed by devoting their time and attention to healthy pursuits.
Because the target audience is mostly young people, raising awareness through installation is a creative and exciting method. It will motivate them to overcome stress and perform their roles and responsibilities much better
